People on the team
The Tahtsa Group started in the early 1980s with a single logging truck under Klaus Posselt Logging. In 1996 Tahtsa Timber was formed, and later Pacific Timber, building sawmills to turn timber that was being wasted into a real product and more local jobs.
Four decades on, the group runs multiple companies and partnerships across most natural-resource sectors and is one of the largest employers in the region. Through mill closures, downturns and hard fire seasons, the focus has stayed the same: keep our people working and do right by the communities we call home.
We stay diverse on purpose. It is how we keep crews working year-round and meet clients wherever a job takes us, from a single load to a multi-year contract.

From minor hockey to the local food centre, supporting the communities that support us is not a marketing line. It is how we were built.
